Batten Bar
Batten Bars are used to mechanically attach roof membranes and flashings. The bar can be easily cut to any desired length. When installing, start at one end of the batten bar and fasten towards the other to reduce bowing between fasteners. Make sure all corners of cut bar are rounded. Batten Bars meet the corrosion resistance requirements of ASTM D 6294, FM Standard 4470 and DIN 50018. Mule-Hide Flat Batten Bar is flat and used to attach roof membranes and flashings. Use with Mule-Hide #14 HDP, #15 EHD or Purlin. Mule-Hide Recessed Batten Bar has recessed holes and is used to attach roof membranes to the substrate. Recessed Batten Bar should only be used over compressible insulations. When properly fastened, the recessed holes allow the fastener head to remain flush with top surface of bar which helps minimize wrinkles and blisters in adhesive seams. Use with Mule-Hide #14 HDP, #15 EHD or Purlin.
